  1. Kids need calcium to grow strong bones, and milk is a great source of this mineral. How much do kids need? Aim for 3 cups of milk per day, or its equivalent. You can mix it up by having milk and some other calcium-rich dairy foods. Here’s one combination:

2 cups (about half a liter) of low-fat or nonfat milk
    1 slice cheddar cheese
½ cup (small container) of yogurt

  2. tips to make yours shine:

    1. Healthy hair requires a diet rich in protein, found in foods such as salmon, tuna, chicken, cottage cheese and protein-rich shakes.

    2. Don’t overwash.

    3. Hair can’t live by shampoo alone. After every washing, use a conditioner to replenish lost moisture.

    4. Product buildup can make hair dull. Use a clarifying shampoo every two weeks to help remove residue. Try Apple Cider as rinse.

    5. Rough towel-drying can be damaging. First, gently squeeze out excess moisture, then pat dry
    with a towel.

    6. Dry scalp? Rub in conditioner with fingertips, leave on for 20 minutes, then rinse.

    7. Shiny hair is healthy. But if yours isn’t in good shape, fake it with a shine spray; focus on the ends where the most damage occurs.
